FALL GENTLY TO THE WATER

The gin co leaves and petals fall to the water belows as gentle breezes blow them from the graceful branches. I especially love the transparent look of the leaves and petals. the brightness of the blue water make the green leaves and red petals pop. This is a great healing painting.

KOKOPELLI /Dancining The Dawn

I loved painting this Native American Icon of a well loved and honored spirit. Kokopelli is the one who danced and played his flout collected music and song, spreading happiness and fertility, wherever he went. Their are many tales told in many nations and clans throughout the US.

top: COLORS below:VOODOO-DOO-DO/JAZZ

The two paintings were the first experimental pieces I did Painting each color with acrylic paint the process was long and tedious work trying not to let the colors touch. The painting below was quite like the first and the first experimenting with dripings of paint, layering and overpainting to create a texture of sorts.

HALLUCINATION AND FABRICATION

The detail shot here is to show the fabric that was intertwined throughout this work. The fibers of the yarn used is holding tiny droplets of paint above the painting itself this experimental work has made for interesting conversation. The bright colors pop as the dark forest green floats above( appears black in this photo.)

EARTH SPIRIT DANCING

#1 of THE FOUR DIRECTIONS SERIES here is the earth depicted in rich earth tones and you see the roots, the worms digging, the life the earth provides for us all. The direction is North for the Earth.

SPIRIT OF THE WIND

#2 From the FOUR DIRECTIONS SERIES this is a painting done in greens to reprisent the wind. The wind only seen through the movement of the grasses and leaves of the trees. You can feel the movement of the wind passing through the branches in this painting. (air is the westerly direction)

THE GREAT FIRE SPIRIT

This painting was the first painting I did in the series and it is red, black, white, & orange and a little glitter. viewers have noticed spirits or people dancing in the painting. this is a fun piece. #3 THE FOUR DIRECTIONS SERIES

OPHELIAS ODYSSEY

ACRYLIC AND HOUSEPAINT AND WATERCOLOR.

HORIZONTAL/BLUE

PAINTED IN ACRYLIC I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY MY HAND AT SOME DECRATIVE PAINTING AND SPONGE TECNIQUE. WITH A DRIZZLE OF ORANGE AND GOLD ON THE HORIZON.

END TABLE

THIS IS A FRONT, SIDE, AND CLOSE-UP

ENDTABLE / FUNCTIONAL PAINTED SCULPTURE

I CREATED THIS END TABLE WITH RECYCLED MATERIAL TOO BAD I DROPPED IT. IT IS BROKEN. IT IS MADE OF WOOD PLEXIGLASS AND PAINT.I STILL HAVE IT.

CIRCUS PEANUTS

I MIXED PACKING PEANUTS INTO PAINT AND POURED THEM OUT ONTO THE MATBOARD. I DRIPPED PAINT ONTO THEM AND LIKED THE EFFECT. THEY REMINDED ME OF THOSE CANDY MARSHMELLO CIRCUS PEANUTS THAT I MADE MYSELF SICK ON AS A KID. O-O-O-O THE THOUGHT OF THAT DAY IS STILL IN MY MIND. NOT FUN.

CHINESE RED GRIMOIRE(BOOK OF THE RED WIZARD)

THE PAINTING IS THAT OF A WIZARDS GRIMOIRE FROM THE EAST. IT IS THE BOOK OF MAGIC I TRIED TO CREATE THE ILLUSSION, THAT THE CENTER WAS A VORTEX WITH OBJECTS FLOATING IN AND OUT OF THE CENTER THAT IS RECESSED INTO THIS MAGIC BOOKS COVER. I THOUGHT OF IT DISPLAYED IN A CASE IN A MUSEUM AS AN ARTIFACT AS I CREATED IT.

EGGSTRATERESTRIAL INVASION

THESE LITTLE ALLEN CREATURES HAVE MET THEIR FATE IN A EGGCITING WAR OF THE WORLDS. OH, WHAT GOES ON IN MY HEAD AT TIMES IS BEYOND ME. FUN. MADE OF POLYFOAM EGGSHELL AND SOME YELLOW AND RED SPLATTERS OF PAINT AND POLYURATHAIN TO GIVE THAT RAW EGG EFFECT.MY LITTLE ADVENTURE HAS ENDED.

I HAD A THOUGHT THAT A MADUSSA WOULD BE A GREAT THING TO TRY . WHILE AT AN ART SHOW A MAN SUGGESTED I MAKE A MADUSSA. I TOOK THAT AS A SIGN AND HER IS BABY MADUSSA. THE IMAGE WAS TAKEN BY PLACEING WET PAPER OVER A SCULPTED DOLL HEAD AND LEFT TO DRY THE PAPER WAS THEN FILLED WITH POLYFOAM AND THAN INCORPORATED INTO THE SCULPTURE SEE THE LITTLE HANDS REACHING FOR MAMA MADUSSA DONT LOOK HER IN THE EYE YOU WILL TURN TO GOLD.

EMERALD GEM ALGAE-GREENS GOLD AND GLASS WITH DRIZZLES OF PAINT THAT ARE SOMEWHAT CONTROLED IN PLACEMENT. THE PIECE MAY BE ROTATED AND TURNED TO STAND DIFFRENTLY ON ITS FRAMED BASE.

RAINBOWFALLS, CAME TO ME WHEN I BEGAN TO THINK OF ADDING COLOR TO THIS BENTGLASS AND FOAM SCULPTURE, THE BASSE IS WOOD . RECYCLED ITEMS. THAT SEEMS TO BE THE NEW THING . BUT I HAVE RECYCLED MUCH INTO ARTWORK OVER THE YEARS.

BLUE FALLING WATER

IN CREATING THIS PIECE I WAS THINKING OF THE ELEMENTS AND HOW I COULD UTILIZE THIS DISCARDED GLASS THE IDEA JUST CAME AND THIS IS THE RESULTS.THE GLASS SITS INTO A WOODEN BASE.
